ABOUT MAIN HOUSE:

Monasterio del Viento (Wind Monastery) in the island of Providencia enjoys a privileged location, nestled on a ridge above the ocean, hugged by a constant breeze, bathed by a sea of seven colors, and surrounded by natural diversity, making this house a unique treasure which is hard to beat.

Monasterio del Viento invites you to pause, observe and relax. It’s isolation allows you to leave behind material possessions, worries and the need to constantly accomplish and get somewhere.  It’s a place to connect a little better with yourself, a monastery for the wind and for nature, a place of calm, patience, reflection and fluidity.

It’s simply magical.

ABOUT DEEP BLUE :

Deep Blue is one of the hidden gems of the Caribbean. Located on the beautiful Colombian island of Providencia and a few minutes walking distance from our main retreat location (Wind Monastery). It is surrounded by stunning turquoise waters and verdant tropical forest with a splendid view towards Crab Caye and the dreamlike Caribbean sea. Well-loved for many years for it’s truly breathtaking views and privileged coastal location, the hotel has a beautifully located restaurant and a shallow infinity-edged whirlpool with an unforgettable panorama.

GETTING THERE

STEP ONE

Book flights from any major city to SAN ANDRES (ADZ).

Flying from the US you have these options:

1) You can fly from the US to Panama and then from Panamá to San Andrés. San Andrés is Providencia’s "big sister". It’s a bigger island located a few Kilometers away from Providencia and it’s the place where all the main flights arrive.

2) You can fly from the US to Bogotá and from Bogotá - fly to San Andrés.

STEP TWO

Book flights on small aircrafts (about 25 min flight)

from SAN ANDRES (ADZ) to Providencia, Island

with the following options:

SATENA

IMPORTANT BOOKING SUGGESTIONS

  • The afternoon flight is the one that usually works and that’s worth buying if you don’t plan on staying in San Andres the night before, and especially so you have enough time to get the connection to Providencia. We recommend at least 2 hrs from one flight to the other because many times the entrance to the island is hectic, you have to wait for your luggage and then re-check it.

  • Both Saten and Decameron say they have a strct policy regarding the weight of your luggage (10 kilos per person) but if you have more weight don´t worry about, you will only get charge about $1-2 usd dollars per extra kilo.

  • Please have in mind that you have to purchase a tourist card which is a special "visa" so you can visit the islands. They always sell this in the airport before traveling to San Andrés and it has a cost of 40 usd approx. You must keep it with you till the end of the trip because they will ask for it once you leave.

  • Please have in mind that the check out from the house is at 10am on April 6th. If you take tha afternoon flight, we can keep your luggage at the retreat location.

  • We suggest purchasing flights well in advance due to limited availability. The aircrafts hold only 17 passengers and the frequency varies between 3 and 5 a day.

  • The boat trip (Catamaran) is approximately three and a half hours long, depending on the weather and seas. This service is provided by the Company CONOCEMOS NAVEGANDO.

We don’t recommend geting to Providencia by boat however. It’s long and mostly everyone that does it arrives sea sick.

A Non-Refundable Deposit of $1,000 holds your space!
