One of the hardest parts of our jobs is to find the best places to take you to, to get in plenty of yoga and revitalization, alongside the perfect balance of beauty, adventure and an all around complete vacation. Mr and Mrs Smith Hotels has been scouting special spots for just the right balance of everything we like for over a decade, not to mention they get the best rates and have access to some super sold out, sought after spots. SO, its really a no brainer when it comes to working with them.

And starting the party off in Jamaica, perfection! Let the honeymoon begin!

Amid Oracabessa Bay’s unruffled sands and lush greenery, GoldenEye, the former writing retreat of Bond penman Ian Fleming (his villa takes pride of place), has many chakra-aligning charms: a talc-soft beach, a banyan-sheltered setting and bright, secluded villas.

Stay in a One-Bedroom Beach Hut, where the sands are just a step from your private veranda. Alongside yoga, paddle-boarding and kayaking are included, and if you feel too virtuous, hit the bar for rum-lashed drinks.

Guests don’t need to have any prior yoga experience to attend and solo wellness-seekers are welcomed.

The retreat’s light and healthy Caribbean cuisine is fresh and flavourful – so, no secret burger-guzzling. Soups are coconutty and ginger-spiked, salads are plumped up with tropical fruit and goodness from the ocean, Jamaican style.

DAY ONE: Arrival: April 6th

Once you touch down (in either Kingston or Montego Bay airports) a car will be dispatched to pick you up and bring you to GoldenEye for a four-night stay.

Settle in, then feel the bend in your first one-hour yoga session with us. A healthy dinner of locally-inspired soups and fresh salads follows.

DAY TWO, THREE & FOUR: April 7, 8th, 9th

Kickstart your day at 7am with rich coffee and a selection of light bites in preparation for your athletic morning session of vinyasa yoga and meditation at 8.30am. Sessions are held on the lagoon-set yoga deck, or onstage and upstairs at the Bizot Bar.

Brunch follows at 10.30am. In the afternoon, hit the Field Spa for a pimento- and ginger-, or lemongrass- and wild lime-infused massage to ease your newly malleable muscles, or take to the water on a paddle-board or kayak.

At 5.30pm you’ll salute the sun as it sets in a restorative, 90-minute evening yoga session. A dinner packed with locally grown veggies follows.

DAY FIVE: April 10th

After pre-breakfast snacks and coffee made from local beans, at 8.30am you’ll move through corpse and cobra poses before a moment of quiet reflection in a meditation session.

Breakfast is served at 9.30am, and then guests can frolic on Oracabessa Bay’s sands or splash in the shoreside pool. At noon, you’ll wave goodbye with a toned arm to your island hideaway.

Full prepayment will be taken when booking by the Mr & Mrs Smith Team.

If you have any queries before arrival, the Smith24 Team can be contacted 24 hours a day. We will also be available for any questions, and contacting you about two weeks before the retreat with packing list details and any other pertinent information you may need.
